In his bloodthirsty enthusiasm, Tagos forgot to pull his axe from a deceased merchant's head. He'd like me to go and find it for him. To get to the crime scene, I should follow the path that passes the mine and follow it down to the river.
Quest log

An Axe to Find is a side quest given by bandit Tagos at the Bandit Camp in Divinity II: Ego Draconis.

Quick Walkthrough[]

Detailed Walkthrough[]

Starting in the Bandit Camp, climb to sets of ladders to reach the bandit located on the bridge/catwalk who issues the quest.

Tagos's axe is located on the east most corpse and is the first body you see if you come from the South Valley Shrine.

You can give the axe back to the bandit, or tell him you are going to keep it (in this case, you'll have to fight for it; you won't kill the bandit, though, as he gives up when he feels defeated).

Rewards[]

Ego Draconis version[]

  • Default:
  • Extra (1 choice):

Dragon Knight Saga version[]

  • Default: 1200 experience, 300 gold
  • Extra (1 choice): 600 experience, 150 gold, random minor/lesser quality potions, 1 random food/drink

Notes[]

  • If the axe is found after completing Into the Bandit's Den, it will remain in your inventory for the rest of the game as you won't be able to sell or destroy it.
  • This quest can only be accepted and completed before completing the quest Into the Bandit's Den.
  • Keeping the axe causes it to become stuck in the player's inventory as it can't be sold or destroyed (Developer's Cut version).
